Certificate of Compliance Expediting
What is A Certificate of Compliance?
A Certificate of Compliance is an application process in the Town of Islip that enables a structure 4 years or older to be legally maintained by submitting floor plans, an accurate survey drawn by a licensed surveyor and the fee determined by the Town of Islip depending on the size and type of structure that was built and needing to be maintained. After an inspection is performed on the existing structure it will be added to the Certificate of Occupancy.
The Town of Babylon, Huntington, Smithtown, Village of Lindenhurst, and Village of Babylon also have processes to maintain existing structures, as do most of the Towns in Long Island.
